Help families recover after the August 2026 water main break in Poplar Grove
On August 16, a major water main break near 500 South and 1100 West sent water rushing into homes in Salt Lake City’s west side. The flooding affected approximately 15 homes, displaced multiple families, and left residents facing extensive damage to their homes and belongings.
While the water has receded, the recovery is far from over.
Families are now dealing with damaged floors, gutted basements, destroyed personal belongings, and essential home systems that need to be repaired or replaced. Some residents remain displaced from their homes, and many are facing an uncertain path forward as insurance claims, recovery efforts, and the investigation into the cause of the water main break continue.
The Westside Coalition is coming together with our community to support the families impacted by this disaster.
Funds raised through the Westside Flood Relief campaign will help provide support for unmet needs as families work to recover and rebuild. Donations may help with expenses and resources not covered by insurance or other available assistance.
This is a moment for our community to come together.
The Westside has always been a place where neighbors look out for one another. Every contribution, no matter the amount, can make a meaningful difference for families who are working to get back into their homes and rebuild their lives.
Please consider making a donation and sharing this campaign with others.
Together, we can help our neighbors recover.
Thank you for supporting the Westside.
