Westside Coalition Monthly Meetings
The Westside Coalition holds monthly meetings that are open to everyone who lives, works, or cares about the Westside. These meetings are a space to connect with neighbors, learn about issues impacting our community, share updates, and collaborate on solutions that strengthen the Westside.
Meetings are generally held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at NeighborWorks Salt Lake – Community Center (625 W Girard Ave, Salt Lake City, UT 84116). Dates, times, and any additional meetings are listed in the calendar above, which is kept up to date with the latest information.
Whether you’re attending for the first time or have been involved for years, all are welcome.

Westside Lobby Day

The Westside Coalition, in partnership with HEAL Utah, invites Westside residents and community leaders to participate in Westside Lobby Day at the Utah State Capitol.
This event offers an opportunity for Westside voices to be heard directly by state lawmakers on issues that impact our neighborhoods — including air quality, environmental justice, public health, and equitable investment in Westside communities. Whether you are new to advocacy or already active, this day is designed to support and empower you.
Participants will receive:
- A brief advocacy and lobbying training
- Issue background and talking points
- Guidance on how to effectively engage with legislators
- The opportunity to join fellow Westside residents in elevating shared priorities
No prior lobbying experience is required. This event is open to community members who care about the future of the Westside and want to make an impact at the state level.

Westside Coalition Legislative Preview
Join Westside residents, community leaders, and local organizations for a Legislative Preview with state legislators ahead of the 2026 Utah Legislative Session. The program will include brief legislative updates, a moderated Q&A focused on Westside priorities, and an opportunity to connect with legislators following the formal program.
This event is free and open to the public.

STATE AND LOCAL CANDIDATES TO MEET IN WESTSIDE FORUM
Westside residents will hear from candidates running for Utah State Senate and
House, County Mayor, City Council At Large, and Salt Lake County School Board.
Candidates will answer community questions in a forum sponsored by the Westside
Coalition and the League of Women Voters of Salt Lake. The event will also feature
a meet and greet with the candidates representing the Westside.

The event will have stakeholders from various areas to better understand different views of this issue. Refreshments and childcare will be provided.
