Air Quality is an issue of critical importance to Westside residents as air quality is shown to be worse on the Westside than anywhere else in the valley based on the industrial nature of many Westside-sited businesses and operations. The Inland Port is inexorably tied to this issue by virtue of what such an expansive undertaking would almost certainly do to further compromise air quality.
The Westside Coalition, in conjunction with several other organizations, is committed to ensuring that significant steps are taken by City, County and State leadership in developing public policies and committing resources to prevent further compromise to the Salt Lake Valley air shed that unduly and unfairly impacts Westside residents
